A absolvit UNEFS \u0219i a lucrat cu echipele de baschet Steaua, Dinamo \u0219i \u0218tiin\u021ba Bucure\u0219ti. \u00cen urm\u0103 cu zece ani, el a participat la un curs de evaluare corporal\u0103 \u0219i nutri\u021bie, organizat de canadianul Charles Poliquin, unul dintre cei mai importan\u021bi preparatori fizici de la vremea respectiv\u0103, \u0219i a\u0219a a realizat c\u00e2t de mult conteaz\u0103 \u0219i nutri\u021bia pentru performan\u021ba sportiv\u0103. \u201dAcel curs mi-a deschis apetitul pentru a studia mai mult. Alexandru l\u0103mure\u0219te: \u201dAntrenamentul, din punct de vedere fiziologic, este catabolic, adic\u0103 reprezint\u0103 un proces de degradare \u00een diverse forme, muscular\u0103, energetic\u0103. Singura form\u0103 prin care po\u021bi intra \u00een anabolism, opusul catabolismului, este prin alimenta\u021bie. Nu exist\u0103 alt\u0103 form\u0103. Nu po\u021bi s\u0103 reconstruie\u0219ti ceea ce ai pierdut cu somn, ap\u0103 sau aer.
